About The Role

100 Thieves is looking for a Director of FP&A with proven technical skills in financial planning and analysis with strong modeling skills. This person has worked in a high-growth early-stage startup environment and thrives under pressure and a fast-moving organization. This role will work deeply in all areas of the business (i.e., apparel, content, esports, marketing, partnerships, people) to drive actionable financial and operational insights as a trusted partner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance or equivalent, MBA a plus
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience 
  • Investment banking experience highly preferred
  • Ability to work across all functional areas to understand needs and collaboratively build/maintain a financial plan that aligns with the company’s short- and long-term strategic priorities and financial objectives
  • Ability to understand and communicate insights from analysis and work collaboratively with colleagues to react to findings
  • Extremely strong financial modeling, planning, forecasting and analysis skills; solid foundation in finance and GAAP accounting
  • Expert level spreadsheet skills, experience with planning tools; experience with Planful planning a plus
  • Experience providing decision support for a range of projects, investments, and strategic initiatives
  • Ownership mentality and demonstrated ability to independently drive projects to completion, with high attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the core FP&A processes for the company, including, actuals, plans and forecasts
  • Support CFO with special projects and proactively collaborate, influence, and align the company’s planning processes to achieve the overall company results
  • Deliver financial reports and key metrics to business unit leads and Board of Directors on a regular basis
  • Partner with business unit leads to develop models, and analytics that provide important insights into our business and guide short- and long-term execution of our strategic plan
  • Develop KPIs and dashboards to guide insight into financial efficiency in all areas of the business and drive action
  • Partner with the People team to define and manage headcount analysis and reporting that will guide headcount growth decisions
  • Perform a range of ad-hoc analyses pertaining to a broad range of business activities/models, including but not limited to, industry trends/benchmark comparisons, m&a, strategic initiatives, and capital investments
  • Partner with accounting team on investigating variances between budgeted/forecasted company goals and actual results
