100 Thieves LTA Announcement

100 Thieves Concludes Historic League of Legends Journey in the LTA

Today we are announcing that 100 Thieves will be stepping away from the League of Legends Championship of the Americas League (LTA) after our final season in 2025.

In 2024, we made a strategic business decision to sell our permanent franchise slot in the LCS and accepted an invitation from Riot Games to transition as a Provisional Guest Team for the 2025 season. We understood that this arrangement was temporary while Riot Games would work towards securing a long-term partnership for the league in 2026. Riot Games has chosen to move forward with another partner and thus this marks the conclusion of our historic League of Legends run since 2018.

100 Thieves has been an integral part of the North American League of Legends esports landscape for years and our journey has been nothing short of incredible.

We qualified for the LCS Finals in our inaugural split, made back-to-back and numerous final appearances, lifted our first LCS trophy in 2021, supported some of the most ambitious amateur programs, and have fielded legends and incredible rosters for the past 8 years.

To both our former and present players, coaches, and staff - we are immensely proud of what we’ve accomplished and the legacy that we’ve built together.

To our dedicated community and unwavering fans, we will have a proper send off throughout this final season to celebrate, remember, and commemorate our lifelong bond to North American League of Legends. Your loyalty and passion surrounding League of Legends is what helped shape 100 Thieves to what it is today.

Thank you for being part of such an incredible story and for now, let’s show our support to the coaches, players, and staff as they take part in the final chapter of the heist.

"A large part of my 8 year journey at 100 Thieves has been synonymous with the League of Legends program," said Joseph, VP of Esports at 100 Thieves. "Entering the LCS with 100 Thieves was an incredibly endearing moment and it gave us a mission statement that was larger than life. We didn't just build teams. We built a legacy, the building blocks to what made 100 Thieves, and a testament to what can be achieved with passion and perseverance when we try and challenge the status quo. From our first appearance on the LCS stage to lifting the championship trophy, every moment has been a chapter in an epic story written with all of our players, staff, and most importantly, our incredible fans. There are so many memories, moments, and emotions from the past 8 years that's hard to capture but we will have time for that at the end of this year. To Sniper, River, Quid, FBI, Eyla, Greyson, Dhokla, and Samuel, thank you for being part of the last opportunity to honor the heist that started it all."
