LOS ANGELES, May 17, 2025 — 100 Thieves, the premier gaming and lifestyle organization, is officially entering the world of Street Fighter 6 with the signing of Shine. A respected figure in the fighting game community and a consistent contender on the global stage. Shine brings a new dimension to 100 Thieves’ competitive legacy as the organization expands into the FGC for the first time.
With nearly a decade of high-level tournament experience and a deep history in both Street Fighter V and Street Fighter 6, Shine has built a reputation as one of the FGC’s most methodical and dangerous players. His recent results speak for themselves, including a 1st place finish in Street Fighter Pro League US, 2nd place in the Street Fighter Pro League Global Finals, and a championship win at East Coast Throwdown 2024. Shine is known for his consistent performances and loyalty to his main, Kimberly, Shine stands as one of the most reliable names in the scene.
This move marks 100 Thieves’ official entry into the fighting game community and reflects the organization’s long-term vision to support elite talent across the esports landscape.
“We’re excited to announce 100 Thieves' official entrance into the FGC space with the signing of Sean “Shine” Simpson, said Joseph Jang, VP of Esports at 100 Thieves”. “100 Thieves has always been on the lookout for entrances into new esports verticals and the FGC has been one of our most requested genres so this was way overdue. We’re excited to cement this first step into the FGC with Sean in Street Fighter 6 and hopefully we’ll see entrances into other titles in this category very soon.”
"I really do appreciate 100 Thieves for considering me and trusting me as their first fighting game player.” Said Shine. “I think this is such a cool experience to be able to link them with a community I know and love. I'd personally like to thank my brother Punk for trusting me enough to take on the world stage alongside him. Without that, I can't imagine I would be in the position that I'm in now. All things considered this truly feels like my starting point, and a new beginning for me. I'm looking forward to taking on the world stage yet again at EWC, and I can't wait to give it my all this upcoming season starting with Combobreaker 2025 under the 100 Thieves banner."
Shine will make his debut under the 100 Thieves banner at Combobreaker 2025, with additional appearances scheduled throughout the Capcom Pro Tour season including the Esports World Cup.
