100 Thieves qualifies for LoL Worlds 2024

100 Thieves League of Legends LCS Team qualifies for LoL Worlds 2024, defeating Cloud 9 in a best-of-five match.

While the Summer Split began with a rocky start, a change to call up Tomo from the academy league proved wise as the Thieves clinched an LCS playoff spot in the final week of the regular season. A first-round victory over Dignitas placed the roster just one match away from qualifying to the biggest tournament of the year, until Team Liquid sent 100 Thieves to the lower bracket.

In the do-or-die match against Cloud9, 100 Thieves pulled out a tremendous upset victory against the North American superteam, eliminating analyst-favorites Cloud9 and punching their own tickets to Europe. Worlds 2024 will be the debut international event appearance for all but River on the team.

Beginning the season with aspirations of just getting a rookie team up to speed, Sniper, River, Quid, Tomo, and Eyla along with coaching staff GoldenGlue, Spookz, and Kaimera have surpassed all expectations.

With that victory, the 100 Thieves LCS team also qualified for LCS Finals weekend. Depending on the results of those matches, 100 Thieves will make their Worlds appearances in either the Play-Ins, or the Swiss Stage. Additionally, this marks 100 Thieves’ 4th Worlds appearance in its LCS history.
