100 Thieves VALORANT Announces Roster Change: Kess Joins Active Roster, Zander Steps Up as IGL
LOS ANGELES, CA – July 16, 2025 – 100 Thieves VALORANT today announced a change to its competitive roster, welcoming Kess to the active lineup. This move will see Boostio transition to the bench. In addition, Zander will be taking over the as in-game leader (IGL) role for the team.
Kess, known for his exceptional mechanical abilities and strong potential, is poised to make a significant impact on the team's performance. The organization believes this strategic adjustment will strengthen their competitive edge heading into future tournaments.
“I want to first thank Boostio for all of his contributions to 100 Thieves VALORANT. Kelden brought us our first VCT trophy and brought us a top 4 finish at Shanghai in 2024. In 2025, although we’ve had extremely close series against some of the best teams in the world, ultimately we have fallen short.” said Joseph Jang, VP of Esports at 100 Thieves. "Kess possesses raw talent and has been a great culture fit with the team and we're also confident in Zander's leadership as he steps into the IGL role. Although these changes present new difficulties and challenges, we wanted to break the status quo which wasn’t working for us."
"I'm thrilled to be joining the active roster for 100 Thieves VALORANT," said Kess. "I've been working incredibly hard, and I'm eager to contribute my skills and help the team achieve its goals. I'm looking forward to competing alongside my new teammates and proving what we can accomplish together."
The organization extends its gratitude to Boostio for his contributions to the team over the past and will continue to support him.100 Thieves VALORANT is focused on building a formidable roster for the remainder of the 2025 season and beyond.
